I recently decided that I was going to watch all of the Harry Potter movies.
I have very limited Harry Potter experience. I saw the first two movies at some point in my childhood, but have never read any of the books and have no idea what the general plot of the story even is. I figured that I would start at the beginning since I couldn't really remember anything about the first ones, except that in the first one Snape is not the bad guy, even though it seems like he is, it is actually the stammering Professor of the dark arts who has the bad guy living on the back of his head, and then there is a snake in the second one. So I watched those two, then last week I watched the third one, The Prisoner of Azkaban (another thing is that I have heard a lot of the titles, but every time I go to watch one I have to google it to see what the name of the next one is). I was nicely surprised. It was much better than the first two I thought.
I have decided that I may even read the books. A friend told me that they also get much better as you get further into the series.
Tonight was supposed to be movie number four night. I had even googled it and knew that The Goblet of Fire was next. But then I remembered that I have to meet to work on my group ergonomics project tomorrow and I said that I would bring some research. Unfortunately I didn't think of that earlier in the day, so now instead of movie watching I am searching University peer-reviewed databases for articles on the occupational hazards of hairdressing. It is a bit of a downer. School is always getting in the way of what I want to do. But guess what, in 6 months I will have a Bachelors Degree! And I will have at least a full year off from any sort of school. I wish that made it easier to hate school less now, but it really doesn't.
