I'm Leaving.

Hello Friends.

I have had some people request that I keep them posted on my adventures. This seems like the best way to do that. So for those of you who are not up to date on my life, here are my plans for the next six months.

I am leaving Canada on the 28th of December. I am bound first of all for Australia. Tasmania, to be exact. There I will be staying with a lovely family I met last summer. Alex and Tamara have generously invited me to come and live with them for a couple months. While I am there I will be volunteering at the summer camp where Alex works full time. It will be exciting and new, yet I am hoping that my summer camp experience from here in Canada will be at least a bit useful. I am not really too sure what to expect while I am there. But I am fine with that and I will roll with things as they come. It sounds like I will have to opportunity to do quite a bit while I am there and I am very much looking forward to it.

The other major part of my trip is a couple months in New Zealand. I am not sure exactly when this will happen within the 6 months I am gone. But it will be somewhere between March and June. I am also extremely excited for this part. I am planning to just camp and backpack and see as much of both islands as possible. I may have a friend from Canada coming to join me on this part of my trip and that is very exciting. All of my plans and dates for this part of my trip are not really set yet. I am going to wait to book those sort of things until closer until the time.

I will return to Canada on June 15th. Before then, I hope to also spend a bit of time on the Australian mainland. I kind of have my heart set on holding a koala while I am there, so I will have to make my way to a place that lets you do that. Overall, I would like to see and experience as much as possible. I am trying not to get too set on doing any specific things (except for the koala holding) and just seeing what opportunities come up and taking advantage of those. That way I figure I might actually end up experiencing more and not being disappointed.

I would greatly appreciate your prayers. Especially as I travel and as I work at Camp Clayton.
I will do my best to keep this updated.

Cheers!

This will be me.
