Today was my first day of a full week of yoga.
I should mention here that I had never been to a yoga class before today.
A couple of my friends are doing a 21 day yoga challenge at a yoga place in town. You are only allowed to miss one day a week for three weeks. So that is 6 days of yoga a week.
I am not here for 21 days, I get to go home for Christmas before that. But I am doing yoga with them until I go (if I last that long). And, we are doing hot yoga most days.
Today they did not have a hot yoga class, so it was some pretty chill Hatha yoga. However, I will say that my back is still a little sore from it. Apparently I don't have good posture and when I have to keep my back really straight for any period of time it hurts. Or maybe it was just a harder workout than I thought. Lets go with that.
Anyways, tomorrow the real work begins. I have heard good things about hot yoga and I am looking forward to it. But I have also heard that the first few times you go to hot yoga it really really sucks. Luckily I have paid for a whole week of classes up front, so I will be much less likely to wuss out and forfeit my money.
Also, I am going off sugar for a week. I decided that last night and already I have having cravings for sugary things that I don't even really like and never eat in a normal week. We were walking through the grocery store and I was like, 'ooohh, pudding! that would be yummy." I don't even like pudding very much!
