New.

I always leave the first page of a notebook blank.
I always felt like I had to put something extraordinary on the first page. I would wait to start a new notebook until I felt I had something worthwhile enough to fill that page. I figured that if I put something lame there, or if my writing wasn't neat enough, or if I just messed up the page, every time I opened the book, that is the first thing I would see and my whole notebook would be ruined. This, of course, meant that I had many empty notebooks laying around just waiting for that perfect something.
Jumping straight to the second page makes me feel like I'm already "in" the book. You don't need something special to fill the second page of a notebook, it is just like every other page in the book. It is not distinguishable from the rest like the first page.
If I ever find a perfect something, I will have a lot of first pages to fill in.
